This plane can also easily be returned to service with a little restoration work if desired. It is in good enough condition, but not many woodworkers use this type of hand tools any more. That is why it is listed as decor. It’s in hope of preserving the history and interest in the crafts of earlier days. The plane itself is in excellent shape. All I have done is wiped it own with a BLO/Mineral oil mix and buffed on a coat of straight BLO (boiled linseed oil) which would have been the traditionally used preservative.
