Upson Nut hand planes are somewhat hard to find and the block planes are no exception. I actually bought this plane at a flea market simply because i didn’t know what it was. After clean up of the blade the Upson Nut name appeared. (some history on Upson Nut is here)
It only took some minor cleaning and honing to get it working.
