Hand Plane ID
Recently came across an iron plane with a prominent "No. 5" raised on the rear of the body casting, longer than a Stanley type 5 by an inch (but a Stanley knock-off in most respects), the only ID is the blade logo, the letters "XLCR" inside a diamond boundary with a thin arrow pointing left from right. Have seen these initials on old hand saws, but never on a hand plane. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
